The Cart Page in the Renovate theme provides a clear and organized overview of the products customers have added to their cart. It allows users to review items, update quantities, apply discount codes, and proceed to checkout seamlessly. Designed for ease of use, the cart layout ensures a smooth shopping experience by displaying essential product details, pricing, and order summary in a structured format.

  • Product Details: Displays product image, name, selected variants, and pricing for each item.
  • Quantity Control: Customers can easily increase or decrease product quantities directly from the cart.
  • Remove Items: Allows users to remove products from the cart with a single click.
  • Discount Code: Customers can apply coupon codes to receive discounts on their order.
  • Order Note: Provides an option for customers to add special instructions or notes for their order.
  • Subtotal Summary: Displays the total cost of items in the cart, including applied discounts.
  • Checkout Button: A prominent call-to-action button that directs users to the checkout page.
  • Continue Shopping: Allows customers to return to browsing products without losing their cart items.

How to Set Up the Cart

The Cart in the Renovate theme allows customers to review the products they have added before proceeding to checkout. You can configure the cart to appear as a drawer or a full cart page and enable additional features to improve the shopping experience.

To configure your cart settings:

  • From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes and click Customize on the Renovate theme.
  • In the Theme Editor sidebar, navigate to Cart or Cart & Cart Drawer settings.
  • Cart Type: Choose how the cart is displayed:
    • Page: Redirects customers to a dedicated cart page.
    • Drawer: Opens a side cart drawer without leaving the current page.
  • Show Discount Code Input: Enable this option to allow customers to enter and apply discount codes directly in the cart.
  • Discount Apply Button Colors: Customize the appearance of the discount button.
    • Background Color: Set the button background color (e.g., #2DA828).
    • Text Color: Set the button text color (e.g., #FFFFFF).
  • Show Cart Note: Enable this option to allow customers to add special instructions or notes to their order.
  • Show Tax Information: Enable to display tax-related details within the cart summary.
  • Enable Free Shipping Bar: Turn this option on to display a free shipping message in the cart drawer or cart page.
  • Free Shipping Threshold: Enter the minimum order value required for customers to qualify for free shipping.
    Example: If set to 1000, customers must add items worth 1000 or more to qualify.
  • Free Shipping Message Behavior: The message updates automatically based on the cart total:
    • Below threshold: “Spend ₹X more to get free shipping.”
    • Above threshold: “You’ve qualified for free shipping!”
