Footer Section
The Footer Section provides a structured area at the bottom of your store to display essential information, navigation links, and branding elements. It helps users easily access important pages such as policies, contact details, and collections while reinforcing your brand identity. You can customize the footer with a logo, social media icons, payment methods, and localization options such as country and language selectors. This section enhances usability, builds trust, and ensures a complete and professional store layout.
How to Configure the Footer
- From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
- Click Customize on the Renovate theme.
- In the Theme Editor, select the Footer section from the left sidebar.
- Adjust the settings, blocks, and layout options according to your preferences.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
How To Edit the Footer Section
- Color Scheme: Select a color scheme to control the background, text, and overall visual style of the footer.
- Select Image (Logo): Upload your store logo to display in the footer for branding purposes.
- Logo Width: Adjust the width of the logo (e.g., 330px) to control its size within the footer.
- Show Country/Language Selectors: Enable this option to allow customers to switch between different countries and languages.
- Show Payment Icons: Enable to display accepted payment method icons, helping build trust with customers.
- Show Social Media Icons: Enable to display social media links, allowing customers to connect with your brand on different platforms.
- Apply Background to Blocks: Enable this option to apply a secondary background color to footer blocks for better visual separation and styling.

Follow on Shop:
Allow customers to follow your store on the Shop app.
- Enable Follow on Shop: Activate this option to display the follow button (requires Shop Pay to be enabled).
- Show Policies: Enable to display store policies such as Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Refund Policy in the footer.
Configure a block within a Footer section
To configure an existing block, select the block from the side menu.
To add a new block, select Add block, choose a block to add, and then select the block you added.
1. Text
Use this block to display important information such as contact details, support information, or custom messages in the footer.
- Heading: Enter the title for the block, such as Need Help?.
- Text: Add your content, such as contact details or support information. For example:
- Block Width: Adjust the width of the block to control how much space it occupies within the footer layout.
2. Menu
Use this block to display navigation links in the footer, helping customers quickly access important pages or collections.
- Heading: Enter the title for the menu block, such as Top Collections.
- Select Menu: Choose the menu you want to display (for example, Top Collections) from your Shopify navigation settings.
- Block Width: Adjust the width of the block to control how much space it occupies within the footer layout.
3. Newsletter
Use this block to collect customer email subscriptions directly from the footer, helping you grow your mailing list and share updates.
- Heading: Enter the title for the newsletter section.
- Text: Add a short description or message to encourage users to subscribe, such as Stay up to date with our special offers and discounts.
- Block Width: Adjust the width of the block (e.g., 30%) to control how much space it occupies within the footer layout.
Payment Icons
How to Enable the Payment Icons, Enable Follow on Shop and Enable Currency & Language Selector
- Show accepted payment methods to reassure customers.
- In Theme Settings, locate the Footer section. Enable the Payment Icons option to display available payment methods in the footer.
- Go to Settings > Payments in your Shopify admin.
Enable Follow on Shop
- Make sure Shop Pay is enabled in your Shopify store settings.
- This allows customers to follow your store on the Shop app directly from your storefront.

Enable Currency & Language Selector

Enable Currency & Language Selector:
This option allows customers to select their preferred currency and language directly from your store. To enable this functionality, you need to configure Shopify Markets and Languages settings in your admin. -
Currency Settings:
- Go to Settings > Markets in your Shopify admin.
- Add the countries or regions you want to sell to.
- Once configured, a currency selector will appear in the footer, allowing customers to choose their location and currency.

Language Settings:
- Go to Settings > Languages in your Shopify admin.
- Add the languages you want to support in your store.
- After adding languages, a language selector will appear in the footer for customers to choose their preferred language.

FAQs
Can I customize my payment icons?
Unfortunately, no. Payment icons are automatically pulled from the Payment settings in your Shopify admin and cannot be manually adjusted.
Why aren't my social media icons visible?
To display your social media icons, ensure they're configured under Theme Settings > Social Media. Once added, they'll appear in the Social Links block seamlessly.
How do I update the copyright message?
The copyright message can be edited through translations. Go to the Theme Editor, click the ... menu, and select Edit Default Theme Content to make your changes.
