Announcement Bar

In the Adorn Shopify theme, the Announcement Bar is a powerful tool for sharing important information with your visitors. Designed to deliver messages effectively without disrupting the user experience, it helps you communicate updates, promotions, or key details seamlessly. Follow these best practices to make the most of this feature and optimize it for your store.

Follow these steps to configure your Announcement bar

1. Open the Customizer
  • Log in to your Shopify Admin.
  • Go to Online Store > Themes.
  • Click Customize next to your Adorn theme.
2. Access the Announcement bar Section
  • In the Customizer, navigate to the Announcement bar in the left-hand panel.
  • Open the Announcement bar section to start configuring settings.
3. Managing messages
  • Visible Messages: Any existing messages will appear below the section for easy reference.
  • Adding a New Message: To create a new announcement, simply click on the Add Announcement button to create a new announcement.
  • Removing a Message: Select an existing message and click on the Delete Icon button to delete it.
4. Set Colors and Text
  • Background Color: Use the color picker to set the background color.
  • Text Color: Use the color picker to set the text color.
  • Text Size: Adjust the size of the announcement text to suit your design needs.
5. Enable Additional Options
  • Show Social Icons: Display social media icons in the announcement bar,Also read how to set up socila media icons liks please click here.
  • Enable Currency & Language Selector: Allow users to select their preferred currency and language, refer to the Shopify markets and Shopify languages support docs which will guide you through the process.
  • Enable Full Width: Enable this to stretch the announcement bar across the entire screen width.
  • Enable Curved Edges: Applies a curve to the left edge of the announcement bar for stylistic effect.
6. Configure Menu (Optional)

    Choose a Secondary menu to display (works only if localization is disabled).

  • Shows a maximum of 4 menu items.
  • Useful for highlighting quick links or secondary navigation.
7. Configure Slider Settings (if using the Slider style)
  • Enable Autoplay: Turn on this option to automatically rotate announcements.
  • Rotate slides after every: Specify the duration (in seconds) for each announcement to display. The default is 3 seconds.
